Seven 11 Blog hop

Hello everyone. You know what time it is, don't you? Well it's Seven 11 blog hop day and I'm giving you Seven lines from my current WIP. Well it's done, just going through the edits stage. After I'm done I want you to check out the other fabulous authors who are participating as well.

I’m cold and scared. I’m in the woods alone and there is something coming after me. I run. I run as fast as my four legs will carry me and I don’t stop until I feel it’s safe. When I get to the cave it’s empty save for some bats that scatter out when I came running in. I head straight for the back of the cave and hide in the leaves and junk that litters the floor.
I hear footsteps outside of the cave and I tense. It’s a dark force that chases me, I can feel the dark magic practically falling off of it, and I can’t seem to escape it. I ran for three days in my wolf form because she runs faster than my human form. It’s been three days since I last ate and I feel as if I’m forgetting something, but I’m too tired to remember.
The shadow that is cast outside of the cave suggests that there is a demon out there, but the footsteps are those of someone with human feet.
“I know you’re around here somewhere, Rebecca, I can smell you.” He said and I froze. I know that voice. I’ve heard it before I just can’t place it.

He walks away leaving me alone and it hits me I know who’s voice that is, but he’s dead.

Christmas event/ Street Team

Sneak peek of The Sacrifice

When I came to I was tied to what resembled a cross I was stretched out with my feet and hands tied to a pole at each side of my body and my head held in place by a restraint as well. From what I could make out I was in a field somewhere and there was a huge stack of wood piled neatly in the form of a tee pee. On my left, from what I could see, there was another cross like fixture with a male attached it. His eyes where closed but from his physic and his facial features I could tell he was handsome. He has tanned skin and brown hair he looks to be about the same size as my kidnapper, but he looks much stronger than him. His clothes are torn and dirty and he looks to have been here a day longer than me. 

At studying his clothes I realized that I should be naked, since I was a wolf when I was taken. I looked down at my not so naked body and realized I was wearing a tan dress; the material was soft and flexible. I tried to turn into a wolf to cut myself free, but something was stopping me from turning. My wrists and ankles hurt too, probably from the restraints, I wonder if they were dipped in Wolfsbane to keep me from turning and keep me weak. 

I looked to my right to see another cross like structure and I was relieved to find that one empty. That means I still have time to figure out a way to get the heck out of here. I tried calling to Rebecca, I could sense her, but I couldn't reach her. I knew she was there just beyond my reach. That pissed me off more. I needed to hear my Alpha and speak to her and have her come and help me and the other victim who was hanging right beside me.

 So I did the only thing I thought of that may help out, calling attention to ourselves. I know this isn’t exactly smart since I could feel my skin burning where the restraints holding me in place and they would examine it, but I needed help and I wasn’t about to become some sacrificial element to give this covenant or whatever the heck they were more power. I screamed at the top of my lungs until I couldn’t scream any more. "HELP ME!" over and over again. Eventually the guy beside me woke up and looked startled but relieved to have me awake.

"It's nice to see they didn’t kill you like the other wolf they captured." he said aiming his eyes to the right of me at the empty structure. "My name is Dante. I’m a warlock, part of no coven, and they took me because they need wanderers to complete this ritual." he said as if he knew I didn’t know anything, and in which case I didn’t. His bright blue eyes made a beautiful contrast to his tanned skin and my pulse sped up a bit when he looked at me. I felt it. But I’m not sure if it’s from the situation I’m in or if it really is what I think it is; the sign of him being my true mate. 

That thought made me want to get out of here even more. How bizarre, it took me to be captured by some psycho to find my mate. I chastised myself, I don’t even know if that was exactly what it was and I’m already getting ahead of myself. "My name is Milissa, I’m part of the Luna covenant recently turned into a wolf and my Alpha actually co-leads the Luna covenant." his look made me stop since what I’m saying probably didn’t make any sense. "It's a long story but we are the most powerful covenant around right now and if anyone can save us, it's them. I just can’t seem to get in touch with my Alpha." I said sounding puzzled as to why I couldn’t reach her. 

"It's the field. It’s been used for decades to hide the rituals that go on in here and keeps the beings that they capture secured without being able to use their powers, whatever they may be, and even the wolf's ability to communicate with their Alpha. We have no way to reach them, or anyone else. Were alone in this." he said sounding defeated. A pang of guilt or sorrow shot through me at the sadness in his voice. 

"How long have you been here?" I asked him afraid of the answer.”

"Two days." he said then added "The ritual will take place in two more days. They need a vampire to complete it, andthey need to do it when there is a full blue moon. Unless you're a supernatural being you cannot see the blue moon, it is when we are at our highest with magical energy." he looked at me to study my reaction, but I’ve been a witch my whole life I know all of this so I just nod for him to continue. "With our magic being at the highest level, that is when they do the ritual, to take our powers so they can grow and strive.”

Holly crap this is what we were looking for all along. The disappearing people and the vampire problems were going to start a war with the vamps for nothing it wasn’t them. I can’t allow this to happen. I pulled and pulled on my restraints to no avail. The outcome only resulted in me screaming in pain at the burn coming from the restraints. "Milissa, you have to stop, you're only going to hurt yourself if you keep trying to get free, these people are good at what they do, they have been doing this for a very long time, they know how to restrain you so you can’t get free." Dante said with a hint of frustration in his tone. That small hint of frustration is the only thing that kept me still; he’s trying to protect me, but how? He can’t even touch me, and were both going to die.

NaNoWriMo

Hey guys anyone participating in NaNoWriMo? What problems are you facing, if any. How far are you? Are you unsure of where to go next?
I'm halfway through at almost 30k and I'm trying to add more scenes into my book before the big battle and I still feel like I'm going to end it before the 50k mark. I think it's because I know what I want to Happen so I'm just in a hurry to finish it.
Other than that I have 5 days off of work and I'm planning on finishing it this week.

Seven 11 Blog Hop

Hello, and good day to you all. today is the seven 11 blog hop. Which means I'll be posting 7 lines from a completed work or from a work in progress. After you are done reading my seven lines check out the other amazing authors who are involved. 

This month I'm doing  new WIP since I am participating in the national novel writing month challenge I'm working on book three to the Luna Series. Ok, as usual I did a little more than 7 lines, but I couldn't leave out half of the paragraph. Anyway enjoy ;)

“I’m sorry, but you cannot use me as a sacrifice. I’m not even sure what you are. And why me; just because I happened to be walking down the street? I’m sorry but there is no way I’m sacrificing my life to help you.” and I ran through the back door and behind the store. There are a few apartment buildings there ne brown three stories high and two gray ones also three stories high. The paint on the buildings were faded and chipped as if they didn’t care too much for the appearance and several cars lined the small driveway. I ran down the hill and through the fence. I didn’t see him so I ran even faster. I had no idea why my powers weren’t working but I needed to resort to something else. So I became a wolf. With my wolf speed and hearing I could hear if he was coming after me without even looking behind me. I ran until I felt my powers come back; I rounded the corner onto South Street and then I teleported mid stride and landed in the backyard. And to my horror, so did the guy who wanted to kidnap me. The last thing I saw was a tan colored cloth bag going over head and body.

Seven 11 Bog Hop

Without even thinking my body took over and I was chucking fireballs at them. One by one they fell burning to death. The last of the vampires looked up at me shocked. I couldn't believe it. How could this be happening? Before I could finish that thought a tall slender Asian vamp came running towards me, fangs barred, and aiming right for my neck. He knocked me to the ground and I was struggling to get away. Then he was gone in an instant, I couldn't figure out what was happening to me then I saw Sebastian holding a sword of some kind and the vamp was on the ground in two pieces. “Wow thanks. What kind of sword is that?” I asked “And why didn't I see you carrying that before?” I didn't hear the answer as the last three vampires came running towards us. I threw my fire and he swung his sword. Two down and one more to go, I turned to look for the last one and saw that he was on top of Sebastian and it looked like he was biting him.

Work

So what has everyone been up to?
Me? I've been working away at my actual full time job at McDonald's. I actually just got promoted recently to an assistant store manager, which is awesome because I've wanted to do that FOREVER and now my hard work has finally paid off.
Although I work full time I still find time to work on my books. I'm still working on Return to Pandora (#RTP ) and it's almost done, and coming along great. I'm planning for it to be out before the end of the year, and the cover should be out in late October early November.

This month I'm going to do a completed work. Here is Luna book 1 in the Luna series, I'm posting a little more than 7 lines, but I hope you like it, here it goes.

“I don’t know what you want with a doll but here it is.” He said handing her Annie.

“I want this doll because she is connected to the girls of your covenant, and it being in my possession will help to give me some leverage over them.” She paused as if in thought and then continued “They don’t know it, but this doll holds a lot of power, only the owner can access, and after they do they become more powerful than you or I could imagine.”

Jacob looked at this woman that I didn't recognize but assumed that she was the leader, with disgust. “So what is it to you if my covenant is more powerful than yours?” he said to her with malice in his voice. “Are you afraid that now that Rebecca and Alana are reunited it will ruin your plan to take down my covenant? Well I hate to say it but you couldn't have taken us down before that happened, and now that Sam and Robert have been reunited with Rebecca I don’t think you can do much.”

Discussion

Ok I know that this is a touchy subject but I've seen a lot of things going around about suicides. In my life I've had a family member and a few friends who have done this and one friend who attempted it.

I know why people want to do it,  because what ever they are going through they think is so hard they don't think they can over come that situation. But let's talk about what makes a person think that or what makes a person lean that way?

Has suicides effected you or someone you know? Is there something WE can do to help STOP that way of thinking, and show them that there is more to live for once you get past that GIANT bump in the road?

I'd love to hear from you. It's coming up on some anniversaries of their untimely deaths and I want to help people from taking that way out.

Seven 11 Blog Hop

Oh-Kay every one here is the second ever Seven 11 blog hop. I am going to post seven lines from a work in progress. This is from Return to Pandora book 1 in the Pandora Series. If you read last months blog hop you were able to get a little look at what was going on. I am planning for this book to be out in November. After you are done please go and check out these other amazing authors. 


We didn’t try to fight though, we were just trying get a good grasp on how to handle his mind thing. We tried this for a few hours until we just gave up and started to use our physical powers, like moving people and things. And to my surprise I was able to get him and hold him to the only tree in the yard. I held him there and tried calling on my power to control the elements. I felt the wind come and swirl around me waiting for my command on where to go next. I saw his face go from being cocky to completely surprised as he watched me have the wind carry him away. I made it swirl around the yard and I brought him high to the tops of the bushes, and back down almost touching the ground, and just when he thought I was done I made it spin super fast like he was caught in a tornado. I watched it swirl around with leaves from the bushes swirling around with it.I made it flatten out so he would slide down it and he landed with giant grin plastered on his face.

Today something happened to me.  It scared the crap out of me because I have never had this happen.  Now I'm a guinea pig in some lab. There poking and prodding at me with needles and I have all types of equipment hooked up to me. As I'm lying there on the table I fight the urge to break free from my restraints. 

The doctor looks at me as if hes scared I might hurt him and I don't blame him, when I felt the way my body lit up while I was fighting Kyle I knew there was something wrong but I just couldn't get myself to stop. So when I hit Kyle in the face with my fist lit up with whatever it is that was happening to me, his face burned to a crisp and he fell to the ground screaming until he died.

Everyone that watched ran away from me in fear, even I wanted to run away from myself in fear.  I should be in jail, but I guess possessing weird powers to kill people is a get out of jail free card, cause here I am in a hospital run by secret government officials. I could break free and run away if I wanted to, but I want to know what is going on with me,  so I stay.

I don't know how long I've been here but I woke up to find all the doctors gone. I pull at my restraints and find they are already gone. I sit up and see the doctors on the floor burned to an unrecognizable form on the floor.  I look at my body and see that I'm glowing again and as I stand up, I find that I'm met by an Angel. 

"Brody, it is time." Was all she said before she took my hand and wet both disappeared from the hospital.

The begining of a new book

This is something that I'm working on.... What do you think?

Have you ever looked at your family and realized how broken it is? I have. My sister is someone who thinks she is better than everyone else, while she still lives at home and doesn’t help my mother pay the bill. My brother is a junkie and still lives at home. My mother, even though we don’t speak at all now, was the backbone to our family for so long. Now she doesn’t care to try and get her children together again. As for our father, he abandoned us long ago and hasn’t shown a care for our wellbeing.

It wasn’t always like this. We used to get along so well. We played games, shared stories and told each other secrets. We stood up for one another while my mother’s verbally abusive boyfriend, Steve, lashed out on us. Steve mostly lashed out on me. I was always the odd ball in every situation. I always chose to associate myself with people who had things that I didn’t have, but wanted. While my mother worked two jobs to pay the bills, because Steve was using all of her hard earned money on drug and alcohol.

That was the worst when he was drunk. That is when he chose anything that bothered him and took it to a new extreme. It’s as if he wanted to pick fights with is, like it made him feel better to bring three little kids down, so we would see him as something he wasn’t.

I started to work early at age, fifteen.  I wanted to be able to get the things that I wanted, and it helped me get away from Steve.  He didn’t stick around long after that. It’s as if he was only there just to yell and degrade me. My mother kept to herself after that. She would go to work, come home, and go to her room. She didn’t cook or clean for us either. So me; being the responsible middle child took care of my older brother and younger sister.

I never received any gratitude from them or my mother; they all just assumed I would do it. Eventually I moved out and left them to their own fates. I question myself about that one action frequently, wondering if I made the wrong decision. Here I am on the biggest day of my life and I have no immediate family here to celebrate it with. It’s just me, in my own little house, alone.

To this day I have very little friends, which I guess isn’t a bad thing, and I’m a doctor. Today was my graduation day. I call my mother to tell her, but she doesn’t answer, she never answers. I leave her a message, but I know she won’t call me back, she never does. I think she blames me for my sibling’s failure, because I abandoned them when I turned eighteen, but I didn’t want to be a caretaker anymore. She missed out by locking herself up in her room every night after work.

She works at a little grocery store in the small town of Southbridge. Nothing happens here; except for drug dealers and druggies with wanna be gangs. When I left to college I never returned not even to visit. That doesn’t mean I don’t care. I even sent them money every few months to help them get by. Did I receive a thank you Emily? No I just keep getting shut out.
